Doxa 300t - wobbly bezels?

Just received my new Doxa 300t and was disappointed to find that the bezel has a slight rocking and slight lateral movement. From other forums I am aware that this is a common problem - Doxa's response is "they are all like that" and decline to do anything about it. Now, I am not aware of any other watch company with wobbly bezels, even £50 Chinese knock-offs, and would ask if anyone else has such a problem with their Doxa.

I think you already have your answer, "From other forums I am aware that this is a common problem"...

Doxa say they have changed the way they attach the bezel - some form of 'ball bearing' system - and that is why the latest watches have some lateral bezel movement and slight rocking.....they are now all supposed to be like that apparently. I'd say almost 1mm of movement is a lot in watchmaking terms - mine getting returned for a refund I think, I'd fiddle with it until it got even looser or broke!

Vintage Doxa Subs don't have this problem, so that could be an option for you.

Modern day Doxa has been going down as far as quality. They've been making a lot of watches for Asia but also in Asia so the quality is not as good as it was with vintage Doxas.

My Seiko SNJ025 Arnie re-issue has the same bezel problem. A bit wobbly laterally.
