An interesting thing is the listing of old swiss watch brands from 1949-1956.

    As an example:

Some of them are still unknown to me, but i learn every day ;) and finaly i found the caliber 321 from Omega.

I thought it could be interesting for some of you, so i scanned Part 2, and you could download the PDF´s here:

Wow, I can't believe you scanned all that. That is some supreme patience. Thank you! I just downloaded a copy and taking a look. There are even a few pages of Minerva calibers. I feel like it's easier to find out what they were doing in the 50s than the 80-90s.

One of these was on the bay recently. I can not remember if I bid and lost or forgot to bid.

This sort of material is perfect for training an AI to recognize random watch parts. The set bridge outlines seem to be the key. I suspect that early automation used these outlines to identify materials for sorting. A lot of the old packaging has such outline silhouettes.

I downloaded the Bestfit catalog sometime in the last year. This catalog has much better typography and looks less busy.

Having this stuff digital is way better than the old book boxes I used to keep such ephemera in. I dumped a lot of that years ago. So it is nice to have access to some of it again.

It was free when I downloaded it last year. Looks like they clawed it back.

Interesting the discussion on the clawback now points to this thread.

I still have the old fashioned option.

I wish they had more of the coloured graphics though, there's only a few but they're very well done.
