I've seen other watches with a circular mark on the minute track similar to the one on this watch. It's wider than the minute hand, so I ruled out that possibility. Does anyone have any ideas?
There are marks from the minute hand between 35 and 40. I assume the other marks you mean are on the tachy scale? Those are from the chrono sweep. If the case size had been increased, those (bezel) marks (from the smaller case) are usually between the tachy scale and the edge of the dial, not over the tachy scale itself. If the case size had been decreased from factory and then increased again, I suppose you could get a mark like that on the tachy scale, but I think that scenario is unlikely.

The hands all look original on this watch, I doubt anything has been swapped.
