I can R E A D and it was a J O K E. Couldn't care less if it was original.
Apparently, sarcasm is wasted on you.

Don’t fall for this one gents. I know it looks almost original but it really isn’t!

All joking aside: I can’t believe how bad some of those examples are. My personal highlights are the 18K, uhm... stainless steel case back:

and how they ran out of space when scratching OMEGA into the movement, so the GA ended up being at an angle 😁

Really appreciate this forum and this thread in particular, along with others. It obviously represents many hours of work, and each of those hours represent even more hours of research and hands on experience. Incredibly valuable. So thank you.

As a new guy, I have no expertise at all to offer. But I do have the perspective of a new guy, which might have some value. I noticed that you often have to remind people that this thread is not for questions, even questions regarding the authenticity of a new watch. It's likely that some people aren't reading thoroughly enough, and there's probably not a whole lot you can do about that. But the first post also says, "Bottom line: ASK BEFORE YOU BUY! Part of the reason this forum exists is to help less experienced people buy decent vintage watches without getting ripped off. We don't even charge! It's a FREE service!" Personally, when I first read this I didn't assume that the invitation to ask questions was an invitation to ask questions elsewhere on the forum. I may not be the only newcomer reading the post this way, which wastes everyone's time and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would rather have our hosts and seasoned members using their time to enlighten us rather than in message board moderation. So my suggestion would be to edit that first post and add "IN A NEW THREAD". So: "Bottom line: ASK BEFORE YOU BUY! (IN A NEW THREAD)" it won't help the chuckleheads who can't read, but it would help those of us who can and it may save you a little frustration too.

What's funny is that the Image Watches engraving on the back is trademarked. Apparently that was a company that made promotional watches.

The interwebz says they are closed permanently.

When they're advertised as "New with Tags" buy it now for £99 with no mention of Omega in the title or description.

I just bought this Omega watch(my first) from an online vendor and I have a week to return it and get my money back. These are the pictures of the watch. It seems in surprisingly amazing condition, so I'm a bit skeptical after doing more research... hoping its genuine. I was told the glass is original and everything else is original as well except for the strap which is replaced. Would love advice on this one! Thank you all. very grateful for this forum.
