Guys, I’m a novice - but this screams fake to me. Can anyone clarify? Before I report it.

Not a fake. I like that dial quite a lot actually!

Ahoj. prosím, toto je originál alebo fake? Thanks
Seen too many of these on the bay. What’s even crazier is that people actually bid hundreds of euros on them too! ::facepalm1::

Well, ugly as can be.

Thank you for putting me straight, though I'd rather have thought it's a fake.

Your knowledge on watches is endless... 👍

https://www.chrono24.de/omega/geneve--id12850077.htm

Hello all , new to here and the world of omega, but am about to make a first purchase.
Have seen this on chrono24. No swiss made and looks a bit too 'goldie lookin', or is my amateurish instinct way off ?
Could anyone please inform me if it is a real omega, or a real omega fake please !(any help very much appreciated, thank you).

Also,if anyone could guide me to a better place to purchase, what to purchase(and why), I would be eternally grateful and wonderful karma will be yours there after !
Cheers guys/gals.

Here are some tips to help you avoid purchasing a fake vintage Omega.

Here's a classic fake Seamaster: I just got an omega deville wondering if it's fake or real but from what I read it might be fake or Frankenstein because I got the omega emblem inside a triangle

First, you won't find "antimagnetic" or a jewel count on the dial of any Seamaster. Second, that's one crappy movement. Omega copper plated their movements since the word Seamaster has been used on the dial. Third, Omega never put the hallmarks (like the Ω WATCH Co inside the triangle or the 18K 0.750) you see on this watch's caseback on the outside - they were always on the inside.

Thread it came from: http://omegaforums.net/threads/seamaster-elecromagnetic.6234/

Here's another example in a different case:

Bottom line: ASK BEFORE YOU BUY! Part of the reason this forum exists is to help less experienced people buy decent vintage watches without getting ripped off. We don't even charge! It's a FREE service!

Hi and welcome
