I am absolutely new. I think this looks bad, I thought I should put it here before reporting it to ebay. As you can see, the focus is poor, in other photos (only front and side partially obscured by hand). also member since 2013, this is his first sale offering..?

Are you sure it's a fake? Would be a shame to report someone if you're not certain.

Well, no I'm not. It didn't look like it was displayed in a way to assess it, but I'm not bidding or reporting. It's exactly as you say, I'll just try to learn from here. I'm thinking if I really want an Omega, (I think I do), there's places like right here that are worth the cost of confidence. I also found that the cost of even competent servicing of an Omega is such that an item like that would be for someone who could actually do it or afford the considerable cost. The synthesis is that I stay out of trouble on iffy buys. I'm 70, on VA and SS, and have savings that I can play with, but probably only once, so I need to be a little sure. It's very enjoyable just learning what little I have so far. I'm partially bedridden b/o a pain issue, but it should get cleared up soon. The VA has always pulled me through, but things are really slowing down now.
Thanks for your response, sorry for the lengthy answer.

No problems mate. It's just that it should have been posted in the other thread if you aren't sure.
    (this one: https://omegaforums.net/threads/is-...ke-thread-aka-fake-busters.43911/#post-518472)

This thread is for positively identified fakes and serves as a library so others can consult it for examples.

I know what you mean about slowing down, I'm your age and find that after about 30 years military service, plus another 20 or so in the defence sector, my body and my joints are reminding me of the punishment endured in that time.
I hope you improve and get back on you feet soon.
    Cheers
    Jim

PS: It's good to have another member who qualifies as an OFOF (Omega Forums Old Fart) :D.

It is not fake, but it is a really bad redial. There are many many nice Ladies Omegas out there, but this is not one of them. For reference, I purchased this one for about 100 usd P1010161.JPG

So this went wrong on my end. You can see I edited the comment, which originally said completely fake. When I looked back at it, it didn't have a movement photo (or I didn't see it..), so I changed it to redial. Clearly this is fake.

Well, thanks for the reply again. Yes, I'm 50% qualified fir OFOF, the later half, anyway. I.m of the lurker variety, though if I do know something, or have a question that seems relevant but I may not understand, I'll jump in. Is there a place where one can post a "looking" and give some generalities of models and money they can spend? Would it get any results? I'm 70 this May, I never expected that. But I gave up drinking around 15 years ago and suddenly had some money in the bank. Gave up smoking about 18 months ago, that's another 300+ a month, I do vape it's better than burning tobacco. My VA docs are happy with it too. I've been a patient here in Hawai'i starting over 25 yrs ago for 100% PTSD. Things are pretty good on that end for years, have a flare up now and then, If adrenaline hits my system, I have to be careful, I'll be up and running, It's my body and sub mind craves it, but 'nuff on that. I don't want to wear out your nice welcome. So you can see the story, got a few bucks, getting old, love trinkets and want to enjoy some things while I can,
In closing, if you can suggest forum here or someplace that's good for me to look, I would appreciate it. Also, is there a forum or site where I can post photos just for opinions and estimates? Thanks Again, Art

And this is a second thought, there are two Omegas currently on ebay, the aforementioned one, and one that kind of looks 'too' good. Is it possible to get them evaluated by viewing? Is there somebody that does this for a fee? Not an appraisal, just an informed opinion? That would be great. Almost too good to be true, probably. But, "no shame, all game!" - One of the mottos I have labored under, anyhow.
    Thanks again, Art

Just post pics, or links in this thread. Someone will offer an opinion.

Edit: Don't ask questions here, start a new thread with links & pics.
