Is this a fake?
Ebay 114800861793

I noticed on some constellations ( not this one) the Chronometer is spelt Chronometre. Is this an indication it’s a fake or did Omega supply markets with language/spelling taken into account?

In Switzerland they speak French, German, Italian and Romansch. Same reason the speedy says TACHYMÉTRE.

Which are?
I’ve tried to use my new found (limited) knowledge of dodgy Omegas to good use. This came from a link provided by another member. this watch case looks OK, not over polished (I accept it’s capped). The dial “looks” original with a certain amount of wear and acceptable marks. The dial doesn’t appear repainted as the marks appear ( to my untrained eye) even and uniform. The hands seem to fit the watch style. The crystal isn’t original as apparently it should have an omega etched logo in the centre. It has scratches so could benefit from being replaced
the movement appears in ok condition and I’m sure a service would do it a world of good.
Have I missed something?

Yep, what do you spot as fake ?
I see the wrong seahorse details + case finish (too glossy) + hands colors + "seamaster 300" font.
Am I right ?
Thanks,
Gilles

It's all fake made in vietnam in the 90ies (?), it's called seamaster 300 "stubbies" fake, check the outside of the dial carefully...
Hands have wrong shape, a little narrower than real one
Bezel obviously fake, check real ones: https://omegaforums.net/threads/seamaster-300-bezels.36357/
Fake case and case back (pointed A)

earliest ref: http://scubawatch.org/hallofshame.html
