DON Bezel on Speedmaster 145.022: Fitment Mystery

Anyone have any idea what this bezel is?

It looks like the one from the 3861 newer Speedmaster but is fitted on a 145.022 watch. I was told that the newer bezels don't fit older models because of the way they attach to the case. Any clues?

I honestly cant see the fonts well enough to be sure on what it is, but you can refit the modern bezel insert into the older carrier ring. On the new Omega DON's the carrier rings are different than vintage but the actual insert is the same size and can be swapped and glued into the other ring.

Here are some more photos.... I'm guessing it's from the 3861 speedmaster. I didn't know it could be made to fit an older carrier ring though....

Came across your post while searching for something else, hope this helps..

I do not have experience with modern bezels so I couldn't tell you if its a well made reproduction or the real thing but it does match well with a contemporary 3861 bezel
