Someone asked me to try to find out information about this watch. I heard something about Regina being an old Omega brand, but am not sure if it is the case with this one, it seems totally unrelated. It's a lady watch, gold, looks in good shape. Can anyone share some info? TY
Regina was a line of watches marketed in Canada by Omega. Most of what they sold were pocket watches. The name Regina Pocket Watch was originally trade marked by LOUIS MAIER in Bienne Switzerland in 1888. The name was then trademarked by Omega in 1911 indicating that they bought the company at that time. The faces and mechanisms were imported into New York and assembled with cases in Ontario for sale mostly in Canada. The logo on your watch matches the image seen on Regina pocket watches. Here is another image of a Regina woman's watch. This one from the 70's
Looks like it's gold filled as well. Could gold test the rest of the watch or search for hallmarks/10k/14k/18k markings. Color of the gold says GF to me personally. Unfortunately, most women enjoy a larger watch in 2016. If it isn't around 36mm they seem uninterested, I've had several >26mm pieces that were nearly impossible to move..Non the less Wishing you well in your search for more information, Thomas
Very interesting info @cicindela and @MPWATCH, thanks. I'll try to find out more. Just noticed another mark on the clasp...
The case is 20 micron plated, but the bracelet looks like solid gold. Can you post pictures of the movement and inside case back?
