It looks brand new but I have the feeling it's ok (except for the hands which are to long). Opinions?
Yes. That's true. I thought the swiss made was the angle but the lume is indeed a problem... alrighty. I walk away.. thnx
The font also looks questionable, e.g. pointy A's in "AUTOMATIC" and "OMEGA" looks squished. Let's see what other have to say.
Details are good. Minute markers seems good. Especially the minute markers which are reaching the 5 and 7 on the subdial and the minute markers around the 12. Curly end of the numbers look fine as well. If it's a redial it's nicely done. But that lume is missing... and swiss made looks indeed a bit off centre..
I like it but I suspect the dial has seen a sympathetic ‘restoration’ in its past, for the reasons already offered. I’d probably ‘forgive’ it if the price reflected this, but I think I’m in the minority on this. How’s the bracelet?
Bracelet is not a omega BOR... I've read somewhere that lumedots sometimes were removed during service. So that maybe explaince the absence of dots. It looks like the example from the forum also missing lume dots at 2..
Here is my 1949/50 Omega Bumper Oversize 2493-6, caliber 332. 100% Original and untouched. Slight patina on dial, lumedots and index’s. Checked by Omega AD, confirmed authentic.
Questionable font, no serifs, missing lume on dots but no lume hands... That's a nice watch and as always much depends on price, but I would walk away too.
