Should a cal 1001 have a waterproof gasket on the stem.
Having a little problem with one I sold, buyer asking odd questions.

That would depend at least in part on what the reference is, the caliber isn't useful in answering your question.

Very few Omega's of the era that this movement was made in, would not have a seal in the crown. I only say very few because there might be some odd one out there, but I'm pretty sure they all would have. However, unless the crown was recently changed, the seal is likely worn out of hardened to a point that it became ineffective.

If you sold this watch, and it leaked (per your other thread) what claims did you make about it with regards to water resistance? That's really the issue...

Categorically stated 'Not Water Resistant', due to being a vintage dress watch.
I also included timing details of accuracy 'within 10 seconds per day', buyer confirmed this accuracy in his positive feedback.
