··Sunburst dial fanDespite the virus problems in London, I’m currently enjoying my newest watch (an automatic Conquest Heritage) and the only one I own that’s still under warranty.
One of the other reasons for wearing it is that I have a recollection of an old ad, 1940s/1950s, showing a drawn image of an automatic/self-winding watch with the caption, “If you find that this automatic watch has stopped running, don’t take it to a repairer, call a doctor out!”
Does anyone else remember the ad or the watch? I have a vague feeling that it may have been an old Oris.
