I received this watch and I dont know nothing about it. It was purchased from a vintage shop in Prague. Does anyone know what model/refference/caliber it is and if it looks fake. On the back of the watch there is nothing so Im lost. Please help

Probably a caliber 30mm, I would say second half of the fifties. Difficult to say anything for sure without a picture of the inside (and diameter without crown).

I think it has 38mm. Or so the vendor said. Was the dial refinished? What do you think? It looks surprisingly well for its age. Only few dots on the dial and some imperfections on the margin...

I would say the watch dates from 1942-52, no later than that. Likely a cal. 30T2, 265, 266 or 267.

Can't say for sure if the dial is original or redial. Based on the design, I lean towards original. Doesn't say "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial, but not all had that legend prior to 1950.

I think that's the best we can do, given only one fuzzy photo.

Merry Christmas and hope this helps,

Here are some more pics of the watch.
I also found this piece of info on the web about the reference 2505. As you can see, my watch is almost the same with the one in the upper left of the image. Only that mine it has not the 6 digit on the dial like that one.
Is there a slight possibility that my watch is a custom Omega with a custom dial? Did Omega use to have this approach back in the day?

I will have my watch open by a pro and I will tell you what it writes inside. Until then, please bare with me and take a look on the pictures.

I think you are on the right track with Ref. 2505.

Omega would typically have many dial variants for each reference that were randomly distributed, so I highly doubt that this is a "custom" dial.

Gator, you're right for the year, my mistake, I was thinking second half of 40's because of the leaf hands.
Difficult to say anything on the dial without better pictures (try to have some without the glass if you go to a watchmaker for having it open).
    Take care,

Lugs are different, thicker, on ref 2505. I agree with you for the dial.
    Here is a 2505 :

I had a look in AJTT. P.143, there is a 1945 30T2 with a case that looks like yours (ref MI2319 for the 37.5mm diameter version and ref 2318 for the 35mm one).
    Take care,
    Yann

@Tire-comedon , this is a bit surprising for me. I tought i find the right ref as being 2505. Unfortunately i dont have the book. So if you would be a great helper and take a photo of that page and post it, I would be thankful.

@gatorcpa Thank you for the help!

If you're interested in Omega, it's THE book to buy. Here is a scan :

I think that you nailed it Yann. Even the crown is peaked just like Makato's.

I also think @Tire-comedon is right. Thank you, Yann!
Until I go with the watch to see a pro, I have one question. How long one full winding of the watch should keep? Mine keeps barely 2 days (more like 35-40h). Is this ok?

Omega officially sets the power reserve on these at 32 hours. If the watch is in good shape it's not uncommon to get a little more, but the 43 hours quoted would be on the high side for aure. I don't know where he gets his information from, but if you have one that runs over 40 it may have an incorrect mainspring inside for example.

    Cheers, Al

I especially looked at this and the watch went 40h20min on one reserve. Do you think is normal?
