Does a watch like this instantly turn you off or can you dig it

Not to be pedantic, but only to riff: it’s not new at all! There are hundreds of “dual” time watches that have taken this approach, from low to high horology, lady’s to men’s, and all in between.

And it doesn’t stop at just two movements 😁

"Hold my beer..." said the designer of this one...

As for the original watch posted, I like it. Sometimes we take watches a little too seriously, so I think watches like this, those made by Alain Silberstein, and a few others are a nice breath of fresh air into what is a very stale industry at times. Sure they aren't for the masses, but weren't meant to be.

Funny, because while looking for the picture of the Airman 7 I saw this little doozy

Just get a little high now it’s ok

I think the watch is really a lot of fun and admire the humor. My color loving wife would love that watch - in a lady's size, of course.

Gotten too old and sober, myself. Didn't look at the case size, either. Probably too big, most contemporary watches are.

If you asked me that in the 1970's, I would have dug it, man.

Manual wind?

found the manual:

To wind the watch, place the watch dial side up onto a non-scratching surface, and say “vroom vroom” while rubbing the watch back and forth like a hot wheels car.”

This seems tame by comparison, but here is a Chopard quadruple time zone

And this dual time zone from Royce

Speaking of Royce… if you ever wanted to wear a Rolls Royce grill on your wrist, Corum has you covered.

This design gives me all kinds of OCD breakdowns.

Make the movements independently set (so one could put whatever times they like), but then label the dial with the four main North American time zones?!

Whomever needs a multi-time watch to track the four main North American time zones has been lobotomized, and shouldn’t be wearing a watch at all.

Then as a final affront, the watch case is arranged in two columns separated in the middle, suggesting the order of the dials should be in “menu” form (ie top left, bottom left, to top right, bottom right), but then they instead label the dials in left to right rows?

We live in a society…
