Actually this is a cal 1002 and it will work as a spare parts movements should I ever need it for my SHOM, or any of the other vintage divers with a 1002 I plan to purchase.
This is my first vintage watch, and yes, I still have it. It´s my lucky piece, because it was it that lit the fire!
I gave my first vintage love to my son-in-law for his 50th. Since he's still in the family: Does it count?
Absolutely! You will also get credit if your son-in-law passes it on to me as it will stay in our Forum family! BTW, that's a nice piece!
Seven. A member here needed a specific screw (yes, just one screw that was a pain to source because of it's odd length) and another needed the chronometer marked rotor. Somebody else got the crown to replace their generic crown, and another member bought the rest of the movement to make their Seamaster correct.
sad to say my 14K gold Gruen Curvex went in a trade toward a 14K gold Seamaster. As a new collector I didn't realize the Seamaster had a re done dial The seller reluctantly took in back in trade, but charged me a "stocking" fee Lessons learned from that episode
"Do you still own your first vintage watch?" Does it have to have been vintage when you bought it or would growing old together count? I've had this for 42 years
We'll get you partial credit on this one! However, you could be the winner for the thread: Show us the longest held watch in your collection" Nice looking watch!
Considering mine is 7-ish years, that is outstanding! I think Dave / noisy nova has had his Seamaster 321 a few years longer though. It's an early 60's watch.
My first vintage pieces I inherited; one from my dad and the other I believe was his dad's. And, yes, I still own both.
My first watch was a English pocket watch, signed Ja Johnson, London from 1779, still with me, and running after near 236 years.
My watchmaker is a third generation of watchmakers, he love overhaul old verge fusee pocket watches, he is an expert in this kind of watches, with a lot of spares.
Only got started on the vintage Omega road in january 2014. Still have my first piece and even though it is quite ordinary, I dont think that I will ever sell it
