If you have a vintage Mido Powerwind (from 50s-60s) and happen to know the production date, or more likely sale date from a guarantee booklet, please let me know the SN (or portion of) and date(s)...would be a help in my serial number project. I hope to have a first version to share shortly. I'll start: SN 251xxxx, sold in 1965 (I think much later than the production date, however) Thanks all-
Here a post from the NAWCC forum from 2011, some of those guys know quite a lot https://mb.nawcc.org/threads/mido-serial-number-project.71058/ With also some serials and dates sorted out, although for which references isn't stated I had some contact with Mido just recently regarding my new to me Multicenter-chrono and they sent me a link to an interesting pdf celebrating 100 years of Mido production. If you scroll down to the 100th anniversary book it's a nice read: http://www.midowatches.com/ch-en/customer-service/downloads
Thanks. Have checked out the site. The Mido reference link to their serial number page doesn't seem to be working (to help with say ~mid 50s-late 60s). I've reached out to Mido - hopefully it is still accessible and I'm looking right past.
