Nah, definitely not real but then again maybe because there are no pictures, links or anything else shown in your post...
Ah, pictures have now appeared. Pretty sure the military markings are suspicious, not so sure about the rest - oops my bad! Please listen to the people who know what they are talking about below.
16 jewels ? Ok military cutting costs but one jewel ! Seems odd, come on the milspec guys ! I agree about the dial , a little too nice.
Case, case reference, markings and movement look right for a 6B/159, only thing about the dial that is making me wary is the lack of Swiss marking under the 6 o'clock as I would normally expect to see.
looks pretty good to me for that price. back and bezel should be stainless; middle case alloy or plated. markings fine. mvmt. number correct. dial repainted. hands original. good price. kind regards. achim
+1, the case and its markings are fine, the dial is refinished- the original should indeed have a « Swiss made ». However the dial could be a so called MOD refinish, if so not as valuable as a watch with an original dial, but still considered a legit military watch by military watch collectors if the dial was refinished by the British « Ministry of Defence » in the normal course of the life of the watch. The seconds hand is an incorrect replacement, it should have an oval counterpoise. But the hour hand is correct, one would have to double check the minutes hand against other examples on line as it is darker and I wonder if it could be a replacement. There is nothing wrong with blued steel hands from the 1940s being perfectly blue 70 years later, in fact many original watches from that era have perfectly beautiful bleued hands.
