Do these Pie Pan Connies Pass the Smell Test?

I may hold out for an example with arrowhead markers, but the combination of dogleg lugs, piepan dial and arrowhead markers seems to be rare (nonexistent?)

Nonexist...

They do exist but are something of an anomaly as they are an ‘accidental’ meeting of earlier and later styles - so are certainly uncommon.
One here sold by @X350 XJR a while back.

Well watch #1 may work out (waiting on a reply to my final offer), but as a backup here's an interesting one which just showed up, including original buckle, box and papers. Constellation logo wording has slightly deteriorated slightly (but shit so have I) and what appears to be a scratch on the movement at the top right of that photo. It's in the ballpark pricewise, what do you folks think?:

We’ll call this no.3 to avoid confusion.
Nice case, a little polished on the lugs but still good.
Are you sure the wording is not just distorted by scratching on the crystal?
The movt scratch is certainly ham-fisted but wouldn’t necessarily deter me from buying.
Some rotor rub, so needs a service.
Box might be correct but IIRC the buckle is a later addition.

The box is probably a later addition too. Would have expected it to read "Calendar" on the inside. Otherwise it looks really good, IMO.

Thanks so much for your comments on constellation number 3. Box and papers are not much more than a novelty to me, and even the buckle I may not use (as I normally use a deployment clasp for simplicity and to avoid prematurely wearing out my strap). Might even just sell those bits off to help fund the service, if they are not original to the watch. Anyway good to know I’ve got a backup, as watch number 1 has another 14 hours or so before my offer expires. I’ll keep y’all posted, thank you!

I would want to see some better dial shots of no.3 in natural daylight. The dial is showing signs of freckles and suspect the seller is being clever with photos to hide the true extent. Lots of strap and buckle pics but only one of the dial.

OK, just won number 1, which seems to be the best of the bunch. More details and photos after I receive it within a week or so. Thanks so much again for your help.

Quick follow-up question: does this caseback perlage look authentic to everyone? The case itself looks correct to me, but I'm just wondering if this caseback looks suspicious to anyone.
