I can understand why you would be concerned, but fortunately this is just the JP-2 variant bezel and the transitional font. It was used in the second production run for a limited time. A shot of the inner caseback would confirm this. Personally, I would have held out for one in better condition. ;-)
I am sorry to say, but definately yes! The left hint leg is too short. All legs have to be in one line.
Have you checked the uranium-238 reading with your mass spectrometer? Only way to tell if you have original dinosaur in there. A re-dinosaur really brings down the value. But I hear James does great work these days.
I think that's the Stegosaurus limited edition and it appears original. It's collectible, but the one that you really want is the T-Rex eating the lawyer dial. That one is worth serious money.
Many plastics are based on petroleum. Petroleum comes from dinosaurs (et al). I don’t think it is a redial.
It had come to Rolex’s attention that the PALM FRONDS could be mistaken to be a Rolex product, despite this watch pre-dating the iconic and beloved Rolex PALM FRONDS Datejust- thus, you will be receiving legal notice from Rolex of your infringement and all watches with PALM FRONDS must be destroyed regardless the year of production.
Hard to tell. If it is it’s a very good one. On the other hand I’m fairly sure that bezel is a factory replacement which at least tells you that one of the previous owners had it properly serviced. But anyway, what the hell? If you like it, go for it and enjoy wearing it.
