So i'd love to be able to take the time to dismantle and service the 861 in my Speedy MkII, but I'm thinking that a cheaper, simpler project watch or two might be the better way for me to learn... However, I've seen a few guys on here are delving into their Omegas and getting them back up to spec - before I send mine off to STS (who seem to really dislike replying to emails), are there any UK members that offer servicing that would like a go? Cheers
Thanks, I guess it's STS then. I got Simon to reply to one email, but none since. I guess they're swamped. Anyone know what an 861 service there goes for?
Hi guys ,this topic is dear to my heart as well so any answers will he' please ,where in the uk are you Chris
Stefan is a member here and he is in London. No harm in PMing him to see if he can help or not. I had a watch serviced by him last year and intended to get some others done when I get back to the UK in August.
They have a fixed price for a complete service. The last time I was in it was £380 but that was a time ago and they may have gone up. The info. could be on their website.
Wow, ok, that's a lot more than I was quoted else where. I may just go there for the case refinishing then.
