Have you tried Zenmarket, or FromJapan? If your seller is on Yahoo Auction or Rakuten, for sellers who only ship locally, these are alternatives. I've used Zenmarket 2x with no issues for Japanese sellers

 

I’ve used Tenso.com, a package forwarding service, numerous times with good results.
