Idly scrolling through Instagram, it's amazing how many pictures there are of dive watches being worn in restaurants, at weddings, on the beach, in marinas, whilst driving cars... but not so many on the wrists of people diving.

I'm sure we must have some divers here... just curious as to what you wear (as well as a dive computer) on your wrist?

Bonus points for pictures of dive watches being used as dive watches.

Underwater photography is still pretty expensive hence the lack of shots. Sure you can use an old iPhone and housings are getting cheap, it's not a good platform as you don't have enough lighting. Light drops pretty quick and anything under 30ft needs lighting.

I dive with an Aeris T3 on a retractable mount with a compass attached to my left chest on the BCD.

I don't run wrist mount, due to some idiosyncrasies with cold water So Cal diving and kelp. I run more of a semi technical setup due to the types of diving I do and the colder water temps.

When I do wear a watch it's my SKX/nylon Nato on my right wrist. I've not dove with my 3313 POC yet.

Yea, I thought about the same question the other night! I'm a certified diver and have never thought of taking pictures of my watch under water. I guess it's because I'm too focused on coming up alive and in one piece.

Here are my 'dive' watches but the only one I wear right now when I go diving is the TAG. I will be adding a Tudor LHD Pelagos or Black Bay Steel soon so maybe the Tudor will be the new dive watch

I've been going back through and listening to a lot of episodes of the grey nato podcast... interesting the hear James and Jason talking about diving with budget watches... seems that £200-£400 seiko and citizen watches get put to work a lot.

I plan to get certified soon and I'll definitely be wearing my SKX for my dives. The thing's a tank.

I remember someone posting a personal review of the SM 300 with stunning underwater pictures. Really cool.

I've been diving with my Planet Ocean for 5 years now and I love it. I was actually looking at pictures the other day trying to see if I had any good shots of the watch while diving. I don't. I'm headed to Hawaii in August so I will try to take a few good ones this time around.

Diving with a dive watch ?

What the hell is wrong with you ?

The closest to H2O that my Citizen Promaster has ever gotten to was humidity in the air.

I suppose no-one wants to take a picture of a moisture destroyed double Red Sea dweller... a seiko is a bit more stomachable.

Of course the double red then becomes tropical so it's a win win :)

Look closely at the dial and you may spot some reminisce of salt water. Even crystallisation on the hands.
Watch is currently with Simon Freese to gently clean :)
Non the less, I cant help but think diving with a diver over time (and subsequent water leakage) helped to add to the glorious patina.
So @PaulC77, am with you bro!!!

Okay, so it's not a watch, it's a U.S. Divers Royal Aqua Master--the king of dual-hose regulators--from the mid-'60s. I've restored it fully, and will be trying it out in Mexico shortly. I will be wearing the 2255 Electric Blue seen below (seller's photo) recently purchased from a member here.
