Diver 300m minor imperfections

Hey guys, I have had my blue Diver 300m for a year now, there have been two small issues that are not really a big bother but would like to get it taken care of eventually, before the warranty runs out.

The first issue is that the Omega logo on my dial does not seem to be perfectly centered in between the break in the wave pattern. I've seen some others post pictures with similar issues. Do you think this would be covered under warranty? I think this issue can only be fixed with a dial replacement.

The second issue that I recently discovered is that there seems to be a spec under the crystal (assumption because I am not able to wipe it off from the top), would the boutique be able to fix this or would it have to be sent off?

My original thinking with these issues is to send the watch in for an early service (at my cost of course) and get these looked at while it's there. or does it make sense to send it off now just to get these issues taken care of? I am not sure what kind of extent of work do the Boutiques provide.

Any suggestions or recommendations are welcomed.

I would take it in sooner rather than later. It would probably need to go to service centre for a dial replacement.

Hats off to you for approaching your concerns with reason and not bitching about how expensive the watch is and how it shouldn't have any imperfections. If you're close to a boutique, pop in with the watch and see what their recommendations are....They'll guide you in the right direction.

This could be fun. I'd like to see some photos of what you are referring to.

Bought blue one and the triangle does not line up correctly. I also went to buy a NTTD and that had the same issue so got a different one instead.

Doesn’t look like an “imperfection” to me, but that the bezel just needs to be rotated one click to line up.

Wow, that is fantastic, I really did not think of that!!!!!!!!!! I posted on here without actually lining the bezel up. I never knew you could turn a bezel one more click. I am so grateful for your insight!!! What an a…..

It needs to go to Omega, the thing clearly does not line up at all no matter how many times it is tried.

I just checked mine, with magnification, and realized it actually has the same “issue” (although I don’t really think it’s an issue). Yes the Omega symbol is slightly mis-centered on mine too, and no I wouldn’t have ever noticed if it wasn’t for your post…

OP, I personally wouldn’t recommend taking it in. This doesn’t constitute a quality control issue in my book. But you’ve posted a thread on this, and it’s obviously bothering you, so it wouldn’t hurt having a chat with your OB/AD on this. Ultimately they’re the only ones who can help you with this.

Good luck.

OP, definitely goto an Omega Boutique if you can and speak to them about it. I have had a couple of issues with Omega QC with various speedies I have bought and that should be your first step. I have also seen misaligned Seamasters before as well. Unfortunately seems as though Omega QC is not as good as Rolex or the other higher end brands. I love Omega but I find that frustrating as well.

Agreed looks like bezel needs re setting .
