Discovering a scratch on my Constellation dial... + fixed bracelet

I acquired a stainless clasp for my Constellation bracelet and it fits perfectly. I wore it today and noticed something on the dial. It is quite a noticeable scratch.... what could've caused this? Does it look like it was scratched removing the hands at one point?

No problem with scratches on plexi. Polywatch or something similar makes the dial scratch free after rubbing in 1-2 minutes.

Polywatch on a dial... I'm going to suggest not.

He's suggesting that the scratch is not on the dial but the crystal. I choose to believe that the OP can tell the difference.

Call it a PSA. He specifically said rubbing the dial for 1-2 mins will make it scratch free. Now there’s no confusion, just clearing up terms.

I didn't want to write this but I guess I have to. He is assuming the OP is too stupid to know the difference between a scratch on the crystal leaving a shadow and an actual scratch on the dial.

Sorry, I would say crystal and not the dial…

I also want to add that sometimes the tone in some of the posts in this forum aren’t the friendliest.

Thank you Gatorcpa for clarifying.

Yes, the scratch is on the dial it was hidden when first purchased as seen in this before photo. I never moved the hands around before servicing to discover it. It doesn't bother me much especially with what I have in it but it definitely is a small bummer

Hope the seller didn't do that on purpose... 😒

I'll bet he did. I once bought a BOR bracelet that had the links pushed together to minimize the stretch. I pointed out when I received it that the pictures were deceiving and I sent it back for a refund.
