Hi. Just found these Dirty Dozen W.W.W. on the bay including an Omega. Question is are they over priced are they correct. Link is below. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-DIRTY-DOZEN-WORLD-WAR-2-COMMISSION-MILITARY-WATCHES-COM1001 Lots of people watching but will they sell? Joe.
Bit of a joke price really, and for GBP 55K I'd at least expect a photo of each watch that I'm buying. Clearly the seller doesn't feel that necessary and only provides photo's of six of them
These were discussed before over on MWR as they were listed over the summer last year. Pricing is insane IMO. A fantastic condition set could be done for 35k in a year or so. This set's more like 25k given condition and some issues. http://www.mwrforum.net/forums/show...-Dozen-just-popped-up-on-eBay&highlight=Dirty
"Serviced and polished when necessary with the utmost care and attention to detail." I am sure someone spending GBP 55K on a vintage watch will want it polished and looking all shiny.
When you see the more common brands going unsold for £600, you realise how laughable this pricing is. I saw the same listing yesterday when checking prices for the CYMA. It doesn't surprise me that these have been unsold since last summer.
Hi. I whole heartedly agree with all the above comments. For instance if I was to search for The Dirty Dozen singularly on various websites over the next six months I am sure I could easily find them all for around the 30,000 pound mark. Joe.
Regarding the dirty dozen set, the hardest part is to source a Grana W.W.W ... otherwise no difficulties whatsoever. The only good point of this auction is to provide one easily - except not for cheap
That said, the same vendor sold a Seiko RAF watch a few weeks back, and smashed the ceiling for the price, so making taking some nice pictures with a couple of bullets does the trick ;-) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEIKO-Ch...966010?hash=item25e6065a7a:g:JUUAAOSwTm9aGIi1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
