I think the Rolex grey market start to suffert, in the past 2 weeks at least in Switzerland I was able to buy a couple of them if I will , a guy that I know that is a grey marketer say me the market is weak and have a dozen of 2020 models and they still are unsold of course a high rates , this was not the case even this summer when the watches where sold even multiple times if they where available , I think 2020 models will be more and more available naturally.

You should NOT engrave. I never understood the need of some people to put their name on everything. You do realize that you will die someday and why would anyone else want your engraving on it? Everything we own in our lives we're just temporary custodians of it.
I have 2 grandsons that I bought watches for, they are now 5 and 7 years old and planning on giving them once they graduate from high school. I am planning on engraving them as a memory of their grandfather. Totally appropriate I think.

The person that buys it can offer less for it because of the engraving.

Then buy a new caseback or get the engraving removed

Win win situation lol

Still waiting. I'm shocked (I guess I shouldn't be with Roelx) at how difficult it is to get just an OP...

Got the 124060 a couple of weeks ago. Great watch.

I "ordered" a 124060 recently from an AD I've never visited before in Portland Oregon. I was treated respectfully but I'm not so sure if I'll ever get a call as I have no history there and I understand that. I plan to politely touch base in a month or so and continue to do so.

Personally I avoid engraved used watches. Commemorating an important life event understandable but some see it as graffiti or damage.

So true. However, to me, engraving personalizes something for my enjoyment over my lifetime. I do not care what someone down the road thinks about it after I'm gone.

After all, it is your watch. You can do whatever you like with it. If you plan to sell it one day, however, be aware that the engraving might take some of its value away. Unless you are famous, and you and the watch form “a pair”.

Concerning availability and pricing, here in Europe due to much less visits from tourists from the east, there is slightly more availability on some watches. However, demand and waiting list demands are so high that this availability is not really perceptible and grey prices remain high. Eventually some models will more often hit the window shops.
What’s your opinion on this?
