Did my dad buy a fake Seamster 300?

Hello,
My dad just sent me a mail about his purchase of a Seamaster 300. I absolute love his choice but am not sure if this particular watch he chose is 100% real.

Can anyone tell me if the watch is real? Especially the dial? (Pointy hour markes, 6-9?)

Here is the link to the auction with more pictures.
https://www.catawiki.de/l/37223841

Thanks in advance.

I’m on my phone and can’t see everything perfectly so I’ll let other chime in on the rest, but even on my phone I’m afraid I can see the dial is an extremely poor redial at best.

Hmmm..... By the looks of the really bad pictures, if, and only if your lucky, everything could be legit on this one except the dial and crown. I would definitely take better pictures and post them here for more info from the members. A 27.xxx serial correlates with a CB case and sword hands and that bezel. I would definitely order a Extract of the Archives from Omega for this one. If it was only 3000€, and all else checks out correct, then you should have some room to buy a correct dial for it also.

Even knowing very little about this watch model, I can't imagine wanting to buy based solely on these extremely poor images.

Oh wau, a dial that only a mother can love.

Plus , through tireless negotiation I managed to get the details about the imaging system/camera used for the photos. Please find attached a photo of said system/camera :

Hope it works out, Tell him to visit here and do some learning before giving it another shot. Also, the watch marketplace here is a great place to look for a replacement

I haven’t had a baked potato in a long time. That’s going on the dinner menu for sure

Pics are annoyingly poor but they don't give me a good feeling.

So did you pay 3000€ for this one or not? Did you receive it already, so you could provide us with better images?

As noted, dial is horrendous. I do not believe there are original examples with the numbers being lumed.

Start reviewing the return policy because imo I think this watch won’t present well in person

Look, thats unfortunate , but no catastrophe. Dials are on the bay all the time. Service the watch means take it apart anyway. So, get a correct dial and all is within the price range ( more or less....) Kind regards. Achim

Assuming no other problems lurk beneath the dial.
