Did Michael Schumacher hand the speedy reduced as gifts?

Hello ladies & gents,

I recently came across this piece that needed some hefty overhaul after acquiring it I figured I would service it & then perhaps gift it or connect the piece with a collector,
It just came back from service & I took some photos of it, it has a pretty neat blue dial but the real catch is the go-kart Icon at 6 o’clock subdial…
The ref is 3510.80 the ones that are similar don’t have the icon stamp & very few do, I heard these were gifted by M.Schumacher…
Any insight or info about this piece would be greatly appreciated

From memory, I think there was only ever a CART logo on a blue dial, and there is some evidence to suggest that the blue dial CART reduced may have been released before these were known as Schumacher Speedmasters.

Worked the CART series running electronic timing & bigscreen videoboards for many years including for Omega when they were the official timekeeper...in fact the CART series was the introduction that got me hired by Swatch Group in 2003! Brings back good memories...fun times on the tracks 😉
