Based on the recommendation of @Archer I decided to go with official Omega brand springbars for my vintage Speedmaster. I ordered them from an authorized dealer because I have no source locally. I told them I wanted springbars for the lugs and clasp of my 1171 bracelet. It seems both are longer than they should be. I assumed that they would understand and get me what I needed.

Omega springbars on left vs "Swiss Reimagined 20mm" on right.

Clasp Springer seems too long. The shorter barbis what was in the bracelet when. I bought it.

Omega bar seems too long.

As you can see it is the trapezoid logo version. Here is the clasp info for reference.

No part numbers on the invoice but bags were labeled with numbers.

Did I get sent the wrong springbars or am I missing something? Is there a special trick to get them in?

I can't tell you if the spring-bars are too long, but I do think that the spring-bars for the clasp should be the type with the shorter post outside of the flange, so that it doesn't protrude through the clasp.

Maybe this post from archer helps, as it also mentions springbars with 2208 (for straps). Dont know whether 2207 should fit the 1171 but it is for the A11 50SS bracelet standard size.

you were sent what the Omega parts site says for the 1171/633 bracelet. What i do find interesting is that it says to use the 2208 bars as the case attachment, which is usually used for 20mm straps and 2207 for 20mm on bracelet. That would explain why the bars that were sent is longer. As for the clasp springbars, they are a little too long and stick out from the clasp just a bit from my past experience but again, its what the site says to use.
