little afraid it will end up like this JLC with a sort of greenish touch:

do you know if there is an option for more "natural" looking lume?

Kent at Everest Watch Works can mix just about any color you want.

Hey guys just got this JLC from the german equivalent of craigslist for 290 Euros

I suppose its a 40's military style JLC - if original.

Im not too sure about the hands. I think the lume is missing. I wonder if this is a big issue for the price?
i am also wondering if there is a chance to get "new" old radium hands?

Thank you for your insights

all the best from snowy munich

Been lucky enough to own and sell quite a few of these whilst rotating pieces in my collection. It is indeed a p478. Worn towards the end of WWII, but also had a few iterations of it made. My favorite was the p478c rose gold version made specifically for the French Market. At the price you got it, I'd say you got a steal. Definitely would trade towards the 500-600 euro area at worst, and higher in better condition. It definitely has gotten relumed at some point (not so well, i must add), because the older JLC luming jobs werent very blotchy like your dial shows - but one service and a reluming should get it back to perfection. Honestly great find and super good deal 馃榿
