[EDIT x2, Oct 14, 2020: I’ve added a section on subdial fonts for these, for the period 1944 to around 1962, as well as two more watches to this initial post.]

[EDIT: I’m updating this first entry as I go, rather than putting things out of sequence later in the thread.
I’ve added three new watches on August 13th, and added reference numbers for all the watches.]

After posting the other thread, it occurred to me that a strict dial thread for the family of non-Speedmaster 321s not covered by @kov ’s wonderful thread for the 145.006.66 family, (https://omegaforums.net/threads/145-006-145-016-seamaster-chronograph-research-thread.77145/)
might be of use to some OF members, so here goes. The 60’s dates are from this very valuable reference https://www.ilovemyspeedmaster.com/productiondateprediction/

I’ll update this from time to time.

In chronological order.

1943 no reference number on caseback (I’m suspecting this dial is a early 50’s service replacement)

1944 no reference number on caseback

1951 2279-3

1953 2451

June 1961 14364-1

March 1962 2277-1

October 1962 14364-2

May 1963 14904-62

June 1963 105.001-62

October 1963 105.001-62

April 1965 105.001-62

October 1966 105.005-65

March 1967 105.005-65

February 1968 145.005-67

March 1969 141.009-67

Funny, it suddenly looks to me like I don’t have so many of these after all!

Hi airansun,
Thank you very much for sharing your fabulous Seamster chronographs.
I have a 18K gold 2-reg DeVille like (identical to) your last gold DeVille chronograph. My ref. is 101.009-65 and the serial no. is 22,08x,xxx. The estimated production year is June 1965 according to website "ilovemyspeedmaster.com". If your chronograph is producted in March 1969, I am curious to know the ref. and serial no. of yours. Hope you won't mind to release them. Kindly educate me. Thank you in advance for your insights.

Hi there,
I have another similar example but 3-reg. of cal.231, ref. 101.010-66 in ss. The serial is 24.9m which posts the year of production as June 1967. Any insight from OF members?

Mine is one of the last 32x movements Lemania produced for Omega, with a serial number 27320926. I like finding early and late examples.

I’ve edited my first post to include all reference numbers.

Your 101.010-66 is beautiful. 🥰 It looks unworn.

You should send it to me. 😉

The dial on your 320 is unusual and I suspect it might be a redial. If it is, it is very well executed. But, I’ve not seen another exactly like yours. It could be a service replacement too, it’s so close.

The arrow on the Tachymetre scale and the 4 in the seconds subdial are some of the problems. Compare with mine.

I’d be interested to hear from others about this question.

I agree. Look at "Tachymetre". The font of your watch has serifs while the one of @1jansen does not.

My contribution to your archive:
ref 145.005 67 serial no. 25,44X,XXX

So, I thought I’d include here what I posted in another thread, about subdial fonts in 321 Omegas from 1944 to the early sixties.

As I’ve gathered, as to subdial fonts for these 321 Omegas

First generation, from beginning to around 1950

Second generation, early 50’s

Third generation, late 50’s to around 1961 or 2

Fourth generation, from around 1962 to 1967

Fifth generation, from 1967

The biggest tell, distinguishing the 4th from the 5th generation
is where the 65 hash mark falls on the Y in Tachymètre.

4th generation and all earlier

5th generation and later

There is overlap as new versions replaced old.

If I’ve missed anything, please chime in.

This post is dedicated to @JwRosenthal , who posted an amazing analysis of the vintage diver watch field the other day. https://omegaforums.net/threads/laughable-‘for-sale’-threads-recently.121150/page-3#post-1624220

Appreciate the nod @airansun

This is a very helpful guide. This is definitely a subject with serious minefields so resources are so important to making informed decisions.

What a collection! 🥰 Thanks for putting this together.

I can add one reference (sadly, only one).

August, 1965. 105.004-64

@pdxleaf Could you please also add the clasp, bracelet and endlink codes too

Here are the photos. EL don't have numbers.

Took a more focused dial picture since I had it out.
