I'm curious about the specific diameter of these two reference dials. I've got a loose dial incoming and at this moment I'm not 100% sure for which ref it is for.

    Any help much appreciated!

The dial is actually damaged, but I'll measure it and take a picture later on. I have a 2652 with a stained dial that I've been looking to improve with a better dial for almost a decade, this one came up on Ebay and due to the ( hopefully semi-repairable ) damage was not expensive to buy.

Here's the dial, the diameter is 29.80 mm. It has RG furniture and came with the RG hand set. I think maybe a quick trip to the panel beaters workshop where my lady often takes our car ( ::facepalm2:: ) should do the trick :)

But seriously I'm hopeful my WM can work a bit of magic here, I reckon that missing chunk would more or less covered by the crystal retaining ring, so a little bit of cleaning, smoothing and reshaping and it'll be good to go....

2648 about 2mm or so larger than 2652.

Do you know the actual size of either of them? I know the 2648 is bigger but I don't have another loose Connie dial to compare to this one which is 29.8mm

He might be able to improve it, that's what I'm gambling on! But I only put it at about 50/50

You can see here the differences if dial sizes fonts, number size, markers (lume vs non-lume) and even in case sizes:

Have you found out if it fits yet? I think it's larger than for the 2652.

Yeah, it is for a 2648 and not a 2652 as I had hoped....as it is now it just gives me an additional project to go at on top of the decade long search for a decent 2652 dial!

Well I've just scored this dial a few minutes ago on Ebay, I'm confident this one's for a 2652 although it does have heavy lacquer degradation ......now where did I put my lemon squeezer again?....

I knew you were aiming for this one so I didn't suggest to get a nice 2782 for replacement ;)

This is turning into one of those projects, you know the one's where you have, or will have, sunk so much money into it that the watch basically becomes unsellable, ever!

Because you're such a perfectionist. The one you just got is already quite perfect to many. :)
