Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some feedback on an Omega Ref. 131.019 I've found (Caliber 601, Manual Wind). I'm trying to determine if the dial is original or a high-quality refinish.
Watch Details:
Reference: 131.019
Movement: Caliber 601 (Serial 26.xxx.xxx, dating to approx. 1968)
Dial: Vertically brushed silver/champagne with applied gold indices.
Observations/Concerns:
The "SWISS MADE" Signature: On this specific 131.019, the text at 6 o'clock is very low on the dial edge, almost partially obscured by the tension ring/bezel. On many original examples of this reference, I've seen the "SWISS MADE" sitting slightly higher and more clearly legible.
Font Weight: The "OMEGA" branding and the minute track lines appear slightly "heavy" or thick. Is this consistent with late-60s production for this reference, or a sign of a reprint?
Condition vs. Hands: The dial surface is clean and lacks too much spotting or "stardust" patina, while the gold hands show some visible oxidation/pitting.
Brushed Finish: The vertical brushing is quite prominent. While Omega did produce brushed dials for this reference, the combination of the pristine finish and the low "SWISS MADE" text is making me cautious.
I’ve attached a macro photo of the dial and the movement for reference.

Is this a known variation for the 131.019, or does this look like a typical "Catawiki-style" redial?

IS the second hand too short? Typically these reach out a bit more than the minute hand, but this one is shorter than that. Otherwise this looks great to me.

I can't see any problems with the dial.
Refraction may be causing the Swiss Made to appear squished.
Coverage of the Swiss Made could also be due to a generic crystal/tension ring as I can't see any Ω on it.
