Dial authenticity and associated reference?

Hi. I purchased this dial and although looks good to my eye, there are more experience omega eyes than mine to say if it's original. Very glossy dial, the fact that's it so clean has me worried! Gold applied logo and batons. Text in silver. Singer markers mark.

If good, maybe there is a worn watch out there worth restoring with this dial. Any idea what reference it would be from? Ive found a couple of examples on line but they are in sort of 70s style fusion/tonneau cases which doesn't seem right....

Thanks

The printing looks quite good at first glance, but I'm wondering if it would have been a gilt dial.

I was also thinking the back looked original - not mucked up by a reprinter.

Refinished.

The large patches ground away on the back are from the removal of excess adhesive, usually super-glue (ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate) used to reattach the applied figures. An original would have only the tiniest grind marks, they are not glued on. The "feet" on the back of the figures are actually rivets which are expanded by lightly tapping them holding the figures in place.

Looks like one of those nice asian refinishing jobs.
Can you return it?

Don’t think I want to! Good redials here in England are $400. I paid the cost of a lunch for it.

yes, I know you can have an expensive lunch.

No problem, if you are happy with it keep it 👍

If I can make an old beater look good again, Im ok with that. Im not sure how I find what references it's compatible with though. Omega feet all seem to be in the same place. It's not a 565 because of the dial shape - what's the likely candidates?

like this? Corrected my typo. Are the dial cutouts to the bottom rim for a specific movement or a specific case?

I am not so sure. My Connie has those grind marks on the back where the pegs on the indices come through and I don't believe that it was refinished.

Neither, they are for the movement clamps which are in the same location for all of the movements in this caliber family.

I have also seen similar grind marks on apparently original dials (see a few examples below).

Sorry, those marks are not like the ones on OPs dial, which are wide swaths. You can see a much more concise use of the grinder bit on the ones you posted. I've been to a re-finisher's shop and watched them work.
Thank you for distinguishing, I see it now.

so the original dial I posted does not have these cutouts for the movement clamps. So I assume then that dial is not compatible with those movements, or is the case that’s relevant?

Incorrect assumption.

Notice that your dial does not wrap down and around, hence no need for cutouts.
