My friend wants to buy Speedy Pro or maybe Sapphire Sandwich. He likes the look of Speedy on OEM Rally strap. His question is as follows: if he buys Speedy on alligator strap, does the deployant which comes with it is good for Rally strap too? I've seen that Rally needs 94521813 deployant, but which is coming with orignal gator, the same or different?
The gator usually comes with the 84521813, which is the 18mm deployment in polished finish in regular length. Any of the Omega deployments in 18mm width will be compatible with the Rally strap.

I bought the watch on bracelet - the conventional wisdom is to buy the watch on bracelet as this is a lower cost option in the event you want to switch to a leather strap/deployant at a later time. Dunno, but last time I visited a boutique a few years back, the Speedy sold on leather came with a tang buckle - if this remains true, then buying on bracelet remains a more cost effective option. Maybe special order the Speedy with the 1813 and leather? I'm sure everything is possible with the right $$ on hand.
If you buy the Speedy Pro on the OEM black croc its comes with a 20X16 strap. The deployant end is 16mm. If you bought the deployant after the fact it could be 16mm,18mm or higher. The deployant ending in 1813 is 18mm. Ending in 1613 is the 16mm deployant. Hope this helps.
