Hi All,

About a year ago I bought a zealande rubber strap for my seamaster (212.30.41.20.03.001) and absolutely love the quality and fit. The one thing that would make it better is an omega style deployant clasp to streamline the look of the buckle. I visited an omega boutique today to see if the OEM strap and clasp would fit and was told no (other than one option that I did not like as it did not have the fitted curved edges into the lugs). I am not having great luck finding other third party options and am wondering if this community has any recommendations for me.

Thanks in advance, and if there is an existing thread already covering this that I missed, my apologies and would appreciate a link to it.

thank you!

Zealande has their own clasps now too. Personally I’m not a fan though and I prefer a regular buckle as it’s more comfortable and thinner on the wrist.

Thank you, but appears that the zealande clasps still leave it so that the excess strap still shows and needs to be tucked into the loops. I am looking for an option similar to the OEM one that eliminates this.

for your generation of the SMP, you should be able to get the current strap to fit with some curved springbars. A lot of folks have been successful (including myself) retrofitting that strap to older SMPs (like 2254, 2220,80, etc).

if you’re looking for a similar deployant clasp, Artem sells on almost identical to Omega’s, just with a different logo. That said, you will need a compatible strap - I don’t think it’s plug and play on the Zealande.

You are right! tucking the excess into loops is just too fiddly, could just as well have a pin and buckle clasp. The Artem ones looks good, a bit short it seems though, making it harder to get over your hand.
