I took this photo in the JLC factory, and I'm sure they were wondering why I would take this photo...can anyone guess?

This will give you a pretty good idea of the techniques that they use for application of Côtes de Genève.

Is that what is leftover from pressing out sandpaper disks I'm guessing?

I think that traditionally Cotes de Geneve should be applied with a wooden head but I'd say that you are right.
