Not interested in buying, just curious as to whether this is an original De Lux dial or one that's been refinished to look like one to up the value: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Const...985416054?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item4abc38c176Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network The Swiss Made looks like it wasn't meant for a dial with those markers or something :\
Redial. One hand is strategically placed to cover the incorrect last "n" in Constellation. They should have covered up the rest of the lettering too.
Thing is, is it a redialed gold original dial, or is it a regular dial that's been redialed as a gold dial?
We'd have to see the back of the dial to be sure. I suspect it has been made to look like a gold dial from the pictures in the listing, but that might just be bad lighting.
This is true, its more that the trend is starting to be a concern, the gold-cap ones are a major problem if someone buys one by mistake
Late here but the dial is a poorly done redial. Since the gold connie prices have climbed considerably over the past few years particularly for the deluxe models, it seems a lot of these watches even those with poorly done redials are coming out of the woodwork. The asking prices even for the redialled watches are in many cases unrealistic but even those with original aged dials fetch quite a bit of money. I think this is one instance where writers/bloggers like Desmond and others have managed to call attention to the vintage omega constellations and confer not just knowledge but increased stature and visibility regarding this classic omega watch.
