I've had some Bulovas before but have never ever seen this model before. In my mind a really cool Bulova! I guess a little cool factor is because of it's history but I would definitely buy one without a history. Not for a 50k but this watch is straight up my alley! The puschers is really cool, a little like Patek, integrated in the case and it I think it's quite nice that it doesn't look like a Speedy. Look at the patina as well, especially on the index.

Would guess that we ordinary people will have a hard time in the future to find a Bulova with this kind of history for a reasonable amount of money.

Do you like the watch? I think it's awesome!

Are there any OF member that know senior personnel in Bulova (Swatch)? This is such a nice design, they should be approached to re-issue it, retaining all of the original features. If someone has a contact for me, I'd be happy to raise the flag.

The overall design needs to be sharper, IMO, but it isn't a bad look, just a bit dated.

Possibly refine a little to modernise, but overall for its' "time and space" it has a nice futuristic charm to it. I like that it dares to differ from the traditional large round pushers as with most chronographs. As was pointed out to me, this is a one off piece, and at the time Bulova thought outside of the box with the slimline, almond shaped pushers.

So I sit here looking at the Bulova on my wrist (Kirkwood) and could see that sitting on my wrist also. Overall nice design in my opinion. A reissue, as long as it is SWISS MADE, would be great. Seen alot worst out there in the fashion watch side.
p.s I wore the Bulova today as I thought it was getting lonely. Put my Seamaster away for a couple of days. Guess we call that rotation.

But there's no Dot over 90, and Tachymetre is spelled wrong!

Joking of course. It does look pretty cool. The pushers are very cool, and I like how the case hugs the crown.

    Hi Archer,
Thanks for correcting me, I forgot to check and wrongly assumed Swatch had them under their umbrella.

It appears to be missing it's bezel.

Why did Bulova make only one of this? And why nobody knows what movement it has after all these years?

I love it...$50k, I don't think so. I think this will sell for much, much more. It should make a Paul Newman Daytona look cheap.
But come on, they could at least clean it up, polish the crystal and change out those pushers before the auction :)

There was a reason they put the astronauts in those quarantine capsule when they returned...that moon dust is dangerous stuff. :)

I was thinking the same. No way that goes for that cheap, right?

Don't Omega claim that the Speedmaster is the "First and only watch worn on the moon" and wouldn't they get in trouble if that claim is disproved??

I believe it is the Lemania 5100.

The 5100 series is an automatic movement with central minute chrono counter and different subdial configuration.

It could probably only be either Lemania or Valjoux, but it seems to have been under very tight wrap.
