What would you Longines gurus guess this box to be , 60s or 70s ? Did they still make pocket watches in the 70s ? I guess that is what this box is for.

I'd suggest steering clear of politics initially, maybe an informal meal somewhere with distractions, like a town square/ piazza if the weather is good enough. And don't get drunk unless they want to.
I'll let the experts chime in, I've been out of the game for a while so a bit rusty.

    Oh, wait...

I would not think Longines used such a cheesy slogan in the 60`s:D

    80`s or 90`s IMO.

You mean in the 60s it would have been a much more dignified (and not cheesy) slogan such as «the world’s most honored watch»?

I just got the 1980`s «feel» Look at that white cardboard outer sleeve. Here is a 1960-70`s vintage outer box.

Very modern last 20 years , came with a stopwatch I believe as the space at the back is for the cord.

There was a equestrian stopwatch at some time ?

Amazing, if you are right it must have been virtually new when I got it approx 20 years ago. I bought all old boxes an old watchmaker had when he retired around 2000. I always assumed it was older.
