That’s a very nice example! The case and bezel looks very crisp, the dial and the hands look great and it has what looks to be the original bracelet and clasp.

Looks good at first glance, and I'll defer to Rolex experts for more subtle opinions. The rest of the seller's range looks high-end and consistent, all reasonably priced for C24, and good feedback. (I'm somewhat tempted by their Enicar Sherpa Super Divette).

What's the worst that could happen!

Thank you for the info! I saw these as well that I am considering:

Do any of these stand out vs the other in your opinion?

The second one with the folded link bracelet has a later clasp it appears. They are both in great shape, but if it were my money I’d want a different color dial than silver that those prices.

Gotcha, thanks! SO between the original one and these two, which would you recommend if it was you buying?

this:

is a good description! Simply compare it to the C24 description! No good experiences made with C24 as seller...

The first one is the cleanest example, a rare find in that condition. The 6609 has a replacement movement, the bracelet is later with an even later clasp and quite stretched out. That dial is amazing though and alpha hands are difficult to come by.

One last question. Below is another 1675 I found, and it looks all original and clean. Comparing this to the first example, which is more clean?

Of the 1625's you linked, the first example is indeed the nicest. Price is in line with others I see on C24.

The 6609 is a much rarer watch and commands a healthy premium over a 1625. The one you linked has a couple issues but I'm most concerned about the dial. The minute hash marks on the edge seem inconsistent and the bottom of the dial should be signed "Swiss" and not "T Swiss T". The printing of "T Swiss T" is quite sloppy as well. The movement might actually be the correct movement. 6609's are based on the cal 1065 which are really cal 1030 with a date.

I'm really looking for a 1625 or 6609 at this time. I did find ione below, but not sure of originality/condition compared to price. I negotiated to $7500 usd.

Looks like a nice example to me, would be good to see the movement though.

got it. I’ll ask for a movement pic. If the movement is good, which watch do you think is best value for money? The first 1625 or this 6609? The 1625 I negotiated to $5000 usd for everything.

Value for money? Depends on what you like. I personally love the 6609 but it's 50% more $. Is it worth it? You need to answer that.
Also, since you are concerned about value, vintage Thunderbirds are not everyone's cup of tea which means when it comes time to sell you will have a smaller pool of buyers than say a regular Datejust. Just a fyi.

also, is the bracelet and clasp original?
Original Rolex to my eyes. But was the watch born with that bracelet from the factory? I don't know.
