If it were truly ceramic, wonder what the price will be now, especially with the appreciation of the swiss currency. $15k PO?

If they did make a ceramic it'd at least be something different, not like the new Rolex DSSD with half blue half black dial for $500 extra

^ Rolex guys reacting to the top half of the new DSSD being blue.

Oh god I hope they don't go down the Breitling route and have a black version of every model and call it a limited edition model

Given the breaking factor of ceramic is
Oh god I hope they don't go down the Breathing route and have a black version of every model and call it a limited edition model

There's an other thread around where we where guessing. I think there will be a dark side and a Grey side etc. It is the trend and it also follows Swatch marketing strategies of color and texture designs versus actual new designs and lines. What I love is that they continue sot make improvements to the movements, which legitimizes the Omega Brand on the higher end of the spectrum. but I hate the play. This said, when it comes out it may be stunning. We'll see!

Along with "Deep Black" Omega has applied for the following:

"Speedmaster White Side of the Moon"
"Speedmaster From the Moon to Sedna" (seems fitting given the mission going on right now with Pluto)

The are still in process to get "Speedmaster Lunar Dust"; still wondering why the name switch.

I don't read too much into these trademark applications, most end up no futher than a folder in a filing cabinet somewhere.

There's a more interesting one that could fit with some remarks made by Stephen Urquhart, "Constellation Globemaster". If they wanted to split the Constellation line into an old school and a new school, calling one line the Constellation Manhattan, and the classic 50s style model the Constellation Globemaster might be a cool way to do it given the history of that name.
