What do you think of my "Dark Grey Side of the Moon"?? I ordered a Dark side of the moon strap directly from omega to put it in my Grey side. I live in a quite hot city and work a lot outside so I was afraid of damaging the gorgeous grey alligator strap. I thought if I had a tougher A4455FF6-F3FC-4A58-B23C-D014E8998330_1_201_a.jpeg DAB3BC16-39C6-4AE2-98E5-6412D0F6F031_1_201_a.jpeg E18A00B9-F700-4C93-8539-EA692B6C6800_1_201_a.jpeg strap I could use my watch more often.

Looks great, but you will also damage that strap if you sweat a lot in a hot city - the inner lining is leather and lots of sweat will destroy it. I live in NYC and just put my DSOTM on a Rubber strap for the Summer, probably until late September. Last Summer I just didn’t wear it. This is the strap, the one with grey stitching. Not a bad match for the OEM DSOTM strap, appearance wise, except for the clasp:

Leather backed straps suffer in summer wear, best to use rubber, steel or just accept that a leather strap will take a beating. Straps are consumable items in my book.

They are tricky, and not just Omega straps. The right tool makes things much easier though (I use a Bergeon). But the OEM DSOTM strap is particularly easy to remove or put back because they have small cutouts on the underside of the strap that make the spring bar ends easily accessible.

I guess my frustration is mostly related to the bracelet.

I have the Bergeon tools as well, but sometimes those spring bars aren't as compliant as I would like

Many a four letter word has been uttered during the changing of a strap!

Been there. Changing straps on a planet ocean can be a PITA.

I have the Bergeon 6767-F, purchased from Amazon. Bergeon have a variety of strap changing and other watch tools
    https://www.bergeon.swiss/outil-pou...337.html?___store=exp_en&___from_store=exp_fr

Also, their tools have been discussed on the forum a lot with various members stating their preferences. Just search for "Bergeon" (although, it has also often been misspelled as Bergeron in posts)

I bought a strap that looks very similar to that one for my blackbay and after 3-4 uses some white stains appeared and can’t get rid of them?? I’ve washed it with soap and water and a brush a couple times with no success.

That sucks. I’ve not had that problem with rubber/pvc straps like this one. So far so good with it, and as @Evitzee said, straps are consumable items anyway, at least at this price point ($34).

Yep. Up to $50 is a reasonable price for them to be considered consumable items. But over $300 a piece you start to be a lot more careful.
