·From early 00s under Girard Perregaux ownership, this 38mm Highlands expedition watch was probably the only DJR not to be oversized!
GP bought DJR to be their Tudor to Rolex, unfortunately it didn’t work very well. There are some interesting watches from the period, but they’re not well known.
Mine comes from a second batch of watches where they dropped Daniel from the dial, but DJR is still used on the clasp; locking with a divers/adventurers extension too. I’m particularly fond of the acrylic dome crystal.
Hints of Hamilton, Tudor Ranger and IWC Mk20.
