    DIY watch cabinet / furniture.

    A work in progress...Next step is stain

    Nice "shabby chic" style. :thumbsup:

    A couple of suggestions.

    Hide the hinges, the obvious hinges of the top edge means it's a lid, so people will lift it to find your treasure.:eek:

    Fill the two top sections with panels to bring the level up to the edging, another "disguise factor" for the lid. And maybe leave it natural to show coffee cup stains / wine glass stains etc so it looks like a table top, not a lid.

    Make a hidden lock so that the lid can't be raised unless a secret part is pushed/pulled to release the catch/catches.

    Off you go, get back with your ideas...........

    Thanks Jim I was planning on glass tops for the 2 sections on top.
    & yes the 2 hinges was a der-ta-der move.
    The hidden lock/ pressure button for the lid was a thought as well
