CWC G10 Watch Discussion

I am looking for some advice regarding an ex British army CWC G10 2006 watch.

I have four Omegas that I rotate as daily wearers but use the G10 for fishing.

The battery went recently and after replacing it ran for only about 20 minutes.

I ordered new batteries and now it does not run at all. I know nothing about quartz watches.

Battery conections all ok. Could it be the printed circuit? Do you have to kick start it?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I can't definitively help you - mine is a lot older with a different movement/battery but just starts ticking after a battery change.

I know some quartz watches need a circuit reset but wasn't aware of that for these. Hopefully, someone will come along who has your specific model.

Sometimes you have to gently re-position the battery within the battery space …

A mate had the same problem with a Seiko. Turns out his battery had been in storage too long.

Finaly got around to looking at the watch. Ordered a new printed circuit board ($10), still faulty. Cleaned the pivots and jewels, 7 jeweled, running perfect. Even 20 year old quartz watches need a bit of maintenance now and again.
