It’s far more fun if two people are involved administering those.

Don't shit on my hobbies bro.

*see what I did there?

Customer service ticket established 1/10/23... currently 1/23/23 and the watch is still in my possession.

Now four days since I last heard from the "specialist" assigned to me.

This is disappointing. Their communication is bullshit.

Hodinkee appears to be a retailer, contact them and ask who the service agent is in the US, there should be one. It's a Sellita movement, nothing exotic, there are folks in the US that can fix the issue with your watch. The last thing I would want to do is ship it back to Switzerland for repair.

The Lord Dinkee has spoken, "Contact their support department"... brilliant.

This is disappointing considering I am the proud owner of a new to me Nivada and was hoping to add 2 more to my collection. If anyone from Nivada ever checks the forums for people chatting about them- DO BETTER!

Well in all fairness The Dink Lord is probably busy whipping up a new idea that'll set the horological world on fire... maybe a titanium cock ring with an embedded in-house tourbillon movement.

I would like that as my stainless one is too heavy.

Still nothing back from their customer service... no RMA, no word on shipping it back.

Apparently their customer service center handles both Nivada Grenchen and Excelsior Park but I can't imagine there is so much business they can't get back to me in a timely manner... unless they employ only one human.
Maybe they do?

They have the absolutely worst customer service. I had bought a watch from them that had arrived horribly polished and a chipped/ dented lug. I emailed immediately after receiving the package and it took just shy of 4 weeks to get the watch sent back to them and a refund issued. After many email exchanges including photos, they did offer to send me a bracelet if I would keep that watch. Really generous, I know. I ended up reaching out to Guillaume Laidet directly on instagram and was able to get everything taken care of in the end. OP May want to do the same.

Thank you for sharing your story with them... starting to wonder if my story won't end up this way too.

Well this sucks. I had such high hopes for this company and feel rather invested in this since when @SC1 was seeking info
prior to buying it, I pushed it as I had handled one shortly before at the mid Atlantic GTG and loved it.

If they plan to stay in business, they need to get their service department up to snuff.

::stirthepot:: Band/ bracelet would never have changed my mind.
Looks like they need to augment their QC department as well. This is amateur hour shit. I have owned microbrands made by 2 guys in a garage who handle this shit better.

One would think in 2023 that we would have a much more connected global economy- more open borders for trade and easy lines of communication and transport of goods…but no. It all comes down to the devaluing of labor- which translates to “labor shortages”…there is no shortage of labor, just a shortage of decent wages.
Don't blame the company - in this day and age, everything is COVID's fault...🙄

Had no idea these were so affordable, I guess no such thing as bad advertisement, I almost wanted to buy one

GL with the communication, sounds frustrating but on the bright side at least they reply

Things have happened...

I shipped the watch out yesterday. It's due to arrive in Hong Kong Monday afternoon.

That's all for now.

Is the repair being done in Hong Kong?

Yep, that's where they service all their watches as well as their sister brand Excelsior Park.
