Hi, does anyone know of a company or individual who would build a watch case to order? I have a vintage chronograph movement and am considering a project. I’m an architect, so a designer, but don’t have the tools and machinery to make the case and other parts.

Might want to find someone on etsy to make one for you; there are a lot of woodworkers on there who will do custom work.

On a side note, I would not tell them you are an architect or they may charge extra

 

just to clarify...I'm not looking to build a watch box, but a watch case...to house the movement. I want to have a custom watch made.

They repair and fabricate watch cases. The firm of Schwab & Wuischpard were case makers for the Hamilton Watch Co., back in the day.

 

There is a guy in Jakarta, Indonesia who was making bronze watch cases for a number of Seiko movements and his work is pretty sensational.

I just went to the Vortic Watch site...Looks like they do custom work as well. I'd add them to your list.

 

Amazing! I’m not the only “windmill” fighter! I have exactly the same project with the same movement.
