I don't know much about watches but this was my grandfather's watch that he received after working 35 years with "Stockham Valves and Fittings" in Birmingham, AL. I believe from the research I have done that it is an omega seamaster but that is all I have been able to determine because I have not opened the back of it. The band is broken now, but the 4 diamonds on it are real and im not sure what the black stone is. I'm just trying to see if anyone can tell me anything about it. The engaving on the back says " EARLE HARRIS for 35 years service. 1972." Thank you all for your time.

Get it serviced by a watchmaker with an Omega parts account. Model # and Serial # are inside the watch. Watchmaker will have a tool to open the back easily. (Hope that wasn’t you trying to open it without the proper tool)

These were common 25 year watches in the 60s - 70s
Throw it on a nice leather strap and it will be a treasure that will last many years to come.
Maybe you will be able to use the diamond section of the broken bracelet for something.
