I occasionally browse for vintage Constellations, and I'm partial to the late '60s and early '70s cushion case models, since my Dad wore one for many years. I saw one on eBay that raised my suspicions, however. It's item number 264373858979 (I'm using my phone on vacation, and attempting to use Chrome for the link just diverts me directly into the eBay app).

I'd appreciate it if anyone who has the time to take a look can enlighten me. Thanks.

Not my area of expertise. Good luck

A bit late for me too - but
    ‘superlative chronometer’ on a Connie?
    And a 752 non-chronometer rated movement in a 168.045?
    Plus a very polished case.
I would look elsewhere for a watch to remember you pa by.
    Hope that helps.

The case is correct, but the watch has a badly done redial.

Should be a chronometer rated cal. 751. Cal. 752 is not a chronometer rated movement.

Here is what one should look like:

I concur. Much later Omega logo (80’s) and Rolex wording is a bit of a sign of a redial.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Thanks - I feel a bit better turning it down. (And the price seems a bit low.)

Redial; more evidence can be seen by the way the minute marks are not equidistant from the applied hour indices at around the 8 o’clock 9 o’clock and 10 o’clock positions. (The same tell was pointed out to me recently here, saving me from a bad purchase).

I haven't ever seen the omega written above "certified chronometer" on a watch sold in the USA, so hopefully another member can go into detail...it doesnt make sense to have the logo and OMEGA down below, unless it was some special line. As I say, in 20 years of Omega service center and omega repairs in general, I havent seen that ever.

It was a 70s thing (but started in late 60s)
